Red Bricks, also called "extras", provide additional abilities in LEGO City Undercover and LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins. These abilities range from new ringtones to complete invulnerability in combat. In order to use a red brick, it must first be found, then unlocked. Unlocking a brick costs studs.
In LEGO City Undercover, red bricks are purchased in the basement of the LEGO City Police Station, but they cannot be purchased until the Robber Disguise has been obtained. Once unlocked, most red bricks must be enabled from the Extras menu. A few red bricks, such as Communicator upgrades, are enabled automatically.
In The Chase Begins, red bricks are purchased in the Operations Room (Basement) of the Police Station. Once purchased, red bricks can be enabled by tapping the brick icon on the lower screen and the double-tapping a brick to activate it.
